What makes the Christmas wedding elegant, sophisticated, and not anything like a Christmas party?
Colors.
If you choose colors that are not the traditional red and green that we all see for Christmas, you will be able to pull off an elegant, sophisticated, and classy wedding.
So what colors do you use for a Christmas wedding when you want to add a little Christmas spirit to the celebrations?
Blues and silver are elegant, not as traditional, and can be tied into the bridesmaids dresses and tuxes, flower bouquets, and centerpieces.
Another beautiful color scheme would be the use of red or green mixed with gold or silver. Personally, we would use a dark maroon or burgundy red with silver. For green, we would use a dark hunter or forest green with gold.
Of course, the gold and silver could be switched, and one could use any shade of red with gold, and a lighter more silvery green with silver.
Ivory or white also makes a great accent for the color schemes listed above, or as the second color instead of silver or gold, to mix with blue, red, or green.
Remember that even though it is a Christmas wedding, you still want the celebrations and events to say wedding more than Christmas. Most of all, you want the event to reflect your own style and personality.
